The rivalry between the Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets is heating up well ahead of the 2024 NFL season, with Dion Dawkins adding fuel to the fire.
During a recent interview with Vlad TV, the outspoken Bills’ tackle didn’t hold back in sharing his contempt for the Jets, particularly singling out defensive end Micheal Clemons.
Referring to Clemons as “No. 72, Michael Clemons, b*tch boy,” Dawkins made his feelings towards the Jets abundantly clear. “I hate them. All of them,” he added emphatically.
Dawkins’ animosity towards Clemons stems from their previous encounters on the field. In a Week 11 showdown between the Bills and the Jets, tensions escalated into a post-play altercation, with Clemons sending Dawkins tumbling after a late hit from the Bills’ tackle. The incident continued into the tunnel after the game, nearly resulting in a physical confrontation.
While Dawkins’ disdain seems directed at the Jets as a whole, he did reserve some praise for Jets player Quinnen Williams, acknowledging him as “solid” and expressing respect for his abilities. However, his sentiments towards the rest of the Jets remained unchanged.
In characteristic fashion, Dawkins didn’t mince words, emphasizing his dedication to the sport and contrasting it with what he perceives as superficial motives from some Jets players.
With tensions already running high between the Bills and the Jets, the upcoming AFC East matchups promise to be intense, setting the stage for an electrifying season.
