Jungkook of BTS has won the Song of the Year award at the 2024 BIC Seven Awards with the song “Seven.”

The BIC Seven E News magazine – specializing in music, television, movies, and Latin culture – has announced the winners of the 2024 BIC Seven Awards held online.

The nominees for Song of the Year, in addition to “Seven,” included “Die For You” by The Weeknd X Ariana Grande, “Fflowers” by Miley Cyrus, “Rush” by Troye Sivan, “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish, and “Water” by Tyla.

In the end, Jungkook’s “Seven” emerged victorious.

Previously, Jungkook had swept multiple awards at major music award shows with the song “Seven.”

“Seven” had won awards for: Song of the Summer at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMA); Best Song at the 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMA); Top Global K-pop Song at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards (BBMA).

Additionally, on Billboard, “Seven” was chosen as one of the 100 Best Songs of 2023 and one of the Best Songs and Albums of 2023.

The song also made it to the top 100 Best Songs of 2023 list by the American music magazine Rolling Stone.

Not only that, “Seven” also ranked 10th on the 2023 Global Singles Chart by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), becoming the only Korean song to enter the top 10.

Earlier, Jungkook became the first and only Asian artist to win the Male Artist of the Year award at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards (PCA) – a major music award show in the United States.

In January 2024, Jungkook was selected as the ultimate winner in the International Male Artist of the Year category at the 2024 Pure Chart Award – a digital award organized by the French radio station RPM and Pure Chart website – the best music information provider in France for over 20 years.
