Many believed that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man would bid farewell to the MCU after “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” due to the conclusion of the contract between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures. However, in a recent interview with Fandango, producer Amy Pascal confirmed the possibility of extending Tom’s journey in the MCU.

“This is not the last film we will make with Marvel. No Way Home is not the last Spider-Man film in the MCU. We are preparing to make the next Spider-Man film with Tom Holland and Marvel.

Not just one, we consider these three films (Homecoming, Far From Home, and No Way Home) as a trilogy. And now, we will consider making the next three films,” Sony producer Amy Pascal shared on Fandango.

The first two films grossed nearly $2 billion at the box office. Amy Pascal herself played a significant role in negotiating the collaboration between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures, so her remarks are entirely credible. The importance of unity among the industry giants in the film industry is emphasized.

Similar to the 2019 story, there was a time when Tom Holland’s Spider-Man faced the risk of being pushed out of the MCU due to disagreements over profit sharing between Disney (Marvel’s parent company) and Sony. Everything was subsequently resolved smoothly, and much credit goes to actor Tom Holland for having a “drunk call” with then-Disney boss Bob Iger to seek assistance.

Regarding Tom Holland, the 25-year-old actor is considering leaving the role of Peter Parker. Although he sees it as an important part of his life, Tom does not want to play Spider-Man after turning 30. However, he still has five years to continue his journey with the MCU, and Tom has reiterated more than once that “if they (the producers) want me back, I’ll be there.”

Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the third installment Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of “No Way Home,” scheduled for December this year. Even if Tom Holland cannot accompany the role of Peter Parker for the long term, producer Amy Pascal has already made calculations. Also in the interview with Fandango, she confirmed that the new trilogy would be independent and did not rule out the possibility of replacing Spider-Man in subsequent installments.
