Starting from sixth on the grid at Spa-Francorchamps, Verstappen clinched victory with an impressive lead of over 22 seconds ahead of his Red Bull teammate, Sergio Pérez, in second place, and more than 32 seconds ahead of Charles Leclerc in third.

This triumph not only marked Verstappen’s 10th win of the season but also extended his winning streak to eight races. The current record for the most consecutive race wins is held by Sebastian Vettel with nine.

Remarkably, Red Bull’s dominance continued, achieving their 13th consecutive win, extending back to the previous season, and securing 12 consecutive victories this year. This historic achievement makes Red Bull the first team in Formula One history to win the initial 12 races of a season.

Reflecting on his performance, Verstappen expressed satisfaction with the race strategy, particularly navigating through Turn One successfully. He noted the strategic overtakes and moves that contributed to his enjoyable race experience.

As the undisputed leader in the drivers’ championship, Verstappen now holds a commanding 125-point lead. Throughout the race, he showcased his skill, effortlessly overtaking competitors and further solidifying his championship position.

In a moment of confidence during the race, Verstappen even considered a pit stop practice. However, his team quickly dismissed the idea, emphasizing the need to maintain their winning momentum.

Verstappen’s exceptional form has not only solidified Red Bull’s position as a dominant force but has also set the stage for a potential record-breaking run in the upcoming races.
